My cousins's 15 birthday Brunch

To celebrate my cousin's fifteen birthday we had a beautiful brunch. Pastels work perfectly for this type of event. I am wearing a Renata Lozano silk top, Leal Daccarett tulle skirt, Valentino pumps and a Lady Dior bag.

Neon + nude

I am not a big fan of neon colors, but I got out of my comfort zone with this Jcrew lace dress. I threw nude and gold accessories to bring a little calm to the brightness. Clutch is Yves Saint Laurent, bracelet is Paula Mendoza, heels are Christian Louboutin and sunglasses are Gucci. I wore this ensemble for sunset drinks with my fiancé.

My face is like a shy emoji smiling. Sorry, my brother did not gave me time to pose and I wanted to share this outfit.

Copyright and other issues?

Moschino's red and yellow collection, which makes a direct reference to McDonald's logo and company colors got to my attention immediately. I love fashion, but I am still a lawyer so, the first thing that came to my mind was "Hey isn't this a copyright infraction?"

I felt a relieve as a read an article in The Guardian that quoted a McDonald's spokesperson, who affirmed:  "We've signed a licence agreement with Moschino that allows them to use McDonald's intellectual property on the merchandise. Moschino will make a donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities." So there it was, no further legal discussion.

On the other hand, I have heard there are a number of fashionistas not very happy with this collection. Honoring McDonalds is, for them, giving support to obesity and unhealthy food choices. Here is what I think: this collection  can remind as all that a bunch of french fries every once in a while does not hurt anyone, so ditch the acai bowl with chia seeds and grab a couple of McDo fries with ketchup.

It was a fun, vibrant collection that respected intellectual property rights and even donated to charity. So this, at least for me, was a total winner, Moschino!

I sent this picture to my mom while walking around Bloomingdales, as a hint for a birthday gift. Then, I got bad fries cravings.

louboutin nail polish

“The red sole was born from red nail polish. I am giving back to beauty what the shoes took from the nails many years ago.” –Christian Louboutin

Red nail polish for me, is a classic female enhancer. Salon Blow Dries, fresh red manicure and gorgeous heels can make miracles on a women.  As on honor to this magnificent all time women embellisher, the french designer has launched a nail polish collection. The best part of it has been the structural artsy bottles in which the nail polish is sold. These are amazingly made, and can be classified as an objet d'art.

This, is in my opinion, the perfect example when art, fashion and intellectual properlly meet. Mr. Louboutin has no need for mayor publicity of his shoes. Can you tell me a women who will not love to have some loubs in her closet? Nevertheless, CL team thinks ahead, his marketing and advertising view has transcended the shoe line and got into beauty, a department in which most couture houses make most of their profit. Furhermore, the bottles are designed in a way that escapes a traditional nail polish making it even an object that could be protected as a 3D logo. Get some of these amazing bottles and try incorporating them into your home decor, in a few years they will be a unique piece to show to your fashionista daughters!.
